Vasudev Kantae studied Biotechnology at the SRM University, India, and obtained his B.Tech degree in 2005, with grade ‘’Excellent’’.  After completion, he enrolled in MSc program in biotechnology at University of Helsinki, Finland, with a specialized track in cellular biotechnology and developmental and structural biology. During his master graduation project at FIMM (Institute of Molecular Medicine Finland), ‘’ High-throughput mass spectrometry based method for the quantitative targeted metabolomics’’ he has specialized to metabolomics using advanced analytical technologies including tandem mass spectrometry, high-resolution mass spectrometry, and ultra-performance liquid chromatography. Furthermore, he has experienced in sample preparation protocols using automated robot and in metabolomic data handling. In 2012, he obtained his MSc degree and from June 2012, he continued as Research scientist working in developing and validating the targeted methods. During this period, he has learned a great deal about the human metabolome, and the challenges of its characterization along with various analytical method developments, as well as about the opportunities offered by the applications of metabolomics to study human health and disease In March 2014, he started as a PhD student at the analytical biosciences department, LACDR, Leiden University.
